My own personal journey before becoming a health coach has given me insight into the many challenges one encounters when facing challenges. This enables me to bring a high level of empathy, respect, and understanding to all my clients who I work with. As a Mind Body and Nutrition Practitioner and a qualified Health coach I can go deeper into my client’s challenges and work towards breaking down those barriers to create a healthier lifestyle. I’ve worked with a range of clients helping them build a better relationship with food and their bodies. Their mindset has shifted dramatically and are on the road to creating the lifestyle they have always dreamed of.
Extensive experience allows me to guide you. My client success stories reflect my ability to, time after time, help clients improve their health and achieve a higher level of life satisfaction. I am dedicated to giving my clients the tools and techniques to change their relationship with food. These techniques have been learnt throughout my studies and I have gained great control over creating a healthier and happier lifestyle program for my clients.
My skills and coaching techniques I have learned is incorporated in all my coaching programs – allowing me to provide you, the client, with the tools and methods you need to achieve your goals. There are a range of different packages for you to choose from one session to 10-week programs. We can work together to make a program that suits your needs and work together to achieve your goals.
What to Expect During Your Coaching Sessions…Initial coaching sessions and consultations sessions will be conducted for 1-2hours. During the session we will discuss your health goals, health history and any lifestyle shifts we can introduce that will increase your energy, moods, and overall health.
We may discuss your daily routines such as how you manage your energy, sleep patterns, relationship with food, exercise/movement and food cravings.
The most important relationship is the one we have with ourselves so looking into self-care, stress management, spiritual practices, our connection to our mind and body, journal making, and self-reflection are key elements to our coaching programs at Samantha Lee Health.
What is Mind-Body Eating Coaching?
Mind-Body Nutrition Coaching is certification developed by the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. Throughout the training we are developing skills and techniques to deal with weight concerns, binge eating, overeating, body image challenges, and various nutrition related health concerns such as digestion, fatigue, mood, immunity, and many others.
As a Mind-Body Nutrition Coach, my approach is positive and empowering.
I don’t judge my clients and I don’t see their eating challenges as their being “something is wrong with them” – I see it as a journey for both of us to explore together to find some personal clarity on situations that have happened in their life to create an eating challenge. The techniques and skills I have learned from my course helps me ask questions and will let the client go deeper into their life and start to pin point where these challenges many have come from. We work together to create a positive outcome and I will be there to assist them every step of the way. More often, our eating challenges are connected to our everyday lifestyle such as work, relationships with family and friends, intimacy with partners, life stress and money. We will work on the challenges that are most relevant to your story, and success is more easily achieved that way- so the first initial consult will help me identify which angles we need to address.
As a coach I am here to support you with coaching strategies and nutrition principles that are nourishing, sustainable, and are in line with what I believe.
Over many years health and nutrition information displayed through the media has been giving many negative messages about food and diets. No one quite understands which road we need to be on to live a healthy and for filling lifestyle. We’ve have been led to believe that if we aren’t eating exactly how an expert has told us that we have a willpower problem or that we need more self-control. There may be several underlying factors as why someone can’t stick to a healthy lifestyle, they may be on a restricted diet or have been yoyo dieting, the body is craving other nutrients, maybe deficient in nutrients, health problems and much more. The focus I have for my clients is to build a healthy and happy relationship with food and a healthy metabolism.
In my practice, I combine many of the best strategies from nutrition science and eating psychology which I have learnt at ‘The psychology of eating’.
I will work with my clients to see their challenges not as the enemy anymore, but as a learning experience for self-growth and self-improvement.
How is this totally different from Certified Nutritional coaching?
Mind-Body Nutrition is different to other certified nutrition coaching practices as it explores our thoughts, feelings and beliefs which impact our nutritional metabolism and health. Our health goes far beyond nutrition it has a deep connection between our brain, body, and behavior. Nutrition is only part of our story; the other part is who we are as eaters. When you connect Mind, Body and Eating you will start to see how stress physiology, the relaxation response, breathing, awareness, pleasure, meal timing will deeply influence digestion and calorie burning. And it offers practical and results-oriented strategies for the most commonly seen eating challenges and health issues of our times
